Codec Guide

Hi guys, havin trouble again with winavi (i know its a fake version of .

I am trying to rip Sex and the city series and I'm up to 2 season dvd 3 movie 3, the reencoding process stops at 99% and never finishes.

Running software and configurations:
AnyDVD 6.4.5.5 registered (latest)

K-lite mega codec pack at lots of stuff unchecked mpeg2 splitter and avi splitter

video encoder VP70 General profile at 350KBps, encode speed at 3, max frames btw 120, adjust quantizer max at 40 rest default

audio encoder AC3-ACM codec direct ac3 enabled at 128 kbps and sample rate at 48000hz (same as input)


tried the following:

reinstalled anydvd and klmcp from scratch but tried different mpeg2 splitters each time, still the same

tried on my secondary dvd writer (different brand) still the same

any help would be great

I suspect this is a bug in WinAVI. If it were some kind of codec related problem, then then process would not fail at 99% but somewhere at the very beginning.

You are right. There is something wrong with WinAVI, i just wish they update.

Switched to Magic DVD Ripper 5.3 build 6, its much faster than WinAVI and allows mutiple instances, it rocks!
