Mp4 problem & Kaspersky issue !

Postby Bepo on Sat Nov 07, 2009 11:36 am

Hi all,
Since the last three versions of the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, I have a problem with .Mp4 files!
When i open a mp4 file the Status par show the time like this for example: 00:00:00 / 01:34:40 and the 00 don't change to 01 ,02 , 03 ..etc
لآlack screen appears instead of video, and some times (in some mp4 files) the speaker icon i right-bottom area have "x" icon which mean they are no sound in this file!
And i have tried to solve the problem in several ways, such as Reinstall the program , Change codecs options , And now found the solution which I have not installed Gabest Mp4 splitter and keep Haali one.

Please tell me what should i do in this case because i haven't any technical idea about codecs and media formats.

-------------------------

And when i install the last version of K-lite (5.4.0) and when the progress bar pass the 80% , My Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, Found a Trojan and close the installation window and REMOVE setup file!
I try to scan the setup file and it was clean.

Is the setup file try to connect to your server to count installation number or something?

Redownload the file from here: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/KL ... 80441198/1
to be sure to have the correct file.

There are MD5 checksums on the website that you can use to verify the integrity of the file. It is most likely a false positive of Kaspersky.

Your MP4 problem is possibly DXVA related. Try disabling the internal DXVA H.264 decoder of Media Player Classic.

Thanks for helping.

Could you tell me HOW TO use MD5 checksum to verify the file (Which program should i use.?)

Mp4 problem , I don't think it's a DXVA issue because i remember there no DXVA support in last three versions of K-Lite so i think it was not my problem.

Finally, You are more informed than me :D

(Note: Whats new in DXVA ? I thinks it's use the GPU for encode the file instead of CPU so that's minimize the CPU usage and provide better performance and Media quality , and help users who haven't a good CPU to watch FULL HD content smoothly.

^
Is that correct?)

You can use HashCalc to get the MD5 checksum of a file.
http://www.slavasoft.com/hashcalc/index.htm

The pack does have DXVA support, at least if you use MPC. Your description of DXVA is correct.
