i have distortion during .mp4 video play back with 5.3.0 using windows 7 professional build 7600 catalyst 9.10. just update to 5.4.0 and does not help. any way to sovle this problem???? i am using window media player 12

WMP12 uses its own decoders for playing .mp4 files. Nevertheless, they should give normal quality output.

You could try changing the preferred decoder with this tool:

try it no go as well. its a 720p mp4 video

Until Microsoft fixes their player, I suggest you try Media Player Classic.
