Codec Guide

Hi there,

I'm not exactly sure what codec you are using to play tracker files (UMX) however they do not play correctly. The codec you are using only plays about half of the trackers I am playing from Unreal game cd's.
I have resolved this problem by installing the MOD Source filter which plays UMX trackers properly. I would suggest you include this in your pack.

The pack uses DC-Bass Source for such files, which is from the same developer as the (old) filter you mentioned.

Can you upload a sample file that doesn't work?

I uploaded it to Rapidshare. I don't remember how much of the file was being played with the codec you have in your pack but the file is 5:43 long.

seems these umx files are splitted into 3 parts and the bass.dll decoder detects only the first part

It doesn't look like there is much activity on that forum. Nevertheless I've posted a message.
