It is normal that if you remove the /verysilent switch and run through the pages there is no page for thumbnails and no "auto-detect" in the speaker configuration page? EDIT: We're speaking with the /LoadInf switch on, here. The "auto-detect" ratio dot is absent, for example.

The result of the auto-detection is show during installation. That allows you to override the setting if needed.

The thumbnail options are only used when installing on a 32-bit version of Windows. For 64-bit systems the options have been moved to the 64-bit pack. Since the unattended wizard can't predict on what version of Windows the installer may get used, it always shows the thumbnail options. Adding a note for that may be a good idea in hindsight.
