I have the latest version of KLCP (5.2.0 Mega) w/Real Alternative. Media Player Classic will not play an IVR file I just downloaded (that's the current RealMedia video format, right?). Are there plans to support these files under Real Alternative/MPC at some point?

Such files are not supported and will not be supported.
IVR files are not pure RealMedia files. They are downloaded and converted web videos, such as Flash.
