The newest release, after installation, is constantly trying to re-download itself.
This happened both on my system, and a friends.

I have never seen it do such a thing. When exactly does it happen? Can you make a screenshot?

Unfortunately we have both un-installed it. I can say that after I un-installed it (using Revo uninstaller) and re-booted, the pop-up (to download) re-appeared.
I did a cold boot (computer disconnected for 30 mins, and all was OK after that.
Both our downloads came from FileHippo.com, if that's a help?

Oh, and with him, it happened every time he tried to open a music file. With me, it seemed random. Because I didn't try to open anything with it.

I have downloaded "realalt180.exe" from FileHippo and it is the original file (MD5: b43dc1cb1705658bae687e540bf2e006).

I am sorry, but I am completely unable to reproduce your problem.
