I made an unattended install using the -makeunattended switch. I chose "Lots of Stuff without Player".

When installing using the bat file, I get the following error:

i try install klite mega on VirtualPC and got this error

and on my realPC all installed fine ) - strange

also i check md5 summs - all same ?(

if it help to find bug, i can give log - generated by procmon (it show registry, file system and process activity)
i take record when klite installer finish copying files and write "Registering files..." - after few secs popedup error message
...there about 40k events ))))

If it only fails on a fresh Windows install, then it may be runtime related. I'll look into that.

Try if 4.0.4 beta works correctly. That contains the previous version of the filter.

It fails while creating a registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{37991D68-42A3-40E3-8C05-037170E1A42A}. I was using windows vista on vmware, where DllRegisterServer->some_func->RegCreateKeyA returned 0x5 (Access denied) error code.

Your problem is an entirely different one. You can probably solve it by simply disabling UAC in Vista.

And it should be
"Installing the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack"
instead of
"Installing K-Lite Mega Codec Pack"
(see screenshot in the first post of this topic)
