I have a .divx file, audio work, video not.
Can you please add the missing codec?

You can make this file play with the standard DivX decoder by changing the FourCC from DXGM to DX50.

ffdshow supports this FourCC without the need for any modifications.

Can be configured to play DXGM with ffdshow and others with DivX?
Maybe enabling both and setting DivX with a higher priority.

Install the DivX filter.
Manually enable 'DivX 4/5/6' in ffdshow.
Lower the merit of ffdshow to below that of DivX.

I have set the DivX to 0xff800002 with the same effect, however can this be done automatically in KLMCP? I install it on a great number of PC in unattended mode.

That won't be needed, as I have found a better solution. DXGM will be moved from 'DivX 4/5/6' to 'Other MPEG4' in ffdshow options. Next version of the pack will have the updated ffdshow version.
