Codec Guide

One feature that needs to be integrated into the codec pack is called "Pixelfusion Technology." What this feature does is to enhance regular videos of any types into near High Definition as you are watching them. It will sharpen and improve the videos with clarity just like in 1080p movies from Blueray. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then download this plugin at "http://www.qolabs.com/pixelfusion" for Windows Media Player and play a good quality video file and see for yourself. Try changing the settings to see how it works. One bad thing about this plugin is that it has problems with certain video types like "mkv, H264, etc" but overall is an excellent enhancement for playing videos. The developer of Pixelfusion has discontinue their work, so if you guys can make something like this for the codec pack, it will be the best codec ever.

Can some pass this message to the codec pack developer so they can look into this suggestion?

Such a plugin being able to produce Blu-ray quality? Pure marketing bullshit. I suggest you visit an eye doctor.

You want the functionality? ffdshow already offers it. It has advanced algorithms for resizing, sharpening, deblocking, adding noise, etc. You will have to enable and configure it manually to suit your personal visual preferences.

It's just cheating the eyes, I wouldn't call that HD quality, not even SD.

Have you change its sharpness settings to maximum within windows media player? Change it to high and you will see the video quality looks clearer and sharper. Standard video players on PC don't do this, except PowerDVD, but it only works on DVD movie disk and not the video files on your PC. This plugin makes the video quality looks better. It's not cheating your eyes man. Look closely!! Try to turn the plugin on and off while you are playing a movie and see the difference.

Over-sharpened video is just ugly.
