Codec Guide

Hi i just installed the mega codec pack and since then i noticed that all my mp3's sound distorted no matter what player i use, i installed it with the default settings not changing anything but for some reason like i said my mp3 sound like theres too much bass in them, i noticed when their playing the display on the players seems to constantly hitting the red where as before it very rarely did. is this a compataility problem or is there a setting i can change. i tried lowering the volume/disabling the graphic eq in the players but it still does it, could someone please help me. Please try the "Reset to recommended settings" shortcut in the startmenu.

Which players have you tried?

Does a red icon appear at the right-bottom of the screen during playback? (= ffdshow audio)
