I would like to see the option to choose between either clsid's MPC or the Homecinema version by casimir666 added to the installer. I have found the EVR custom presenter to be a very useful alternative to haali's media renderer (plus, it does not suffer the color issues that VMR9 does). I've have never been able to get haali's renderer to work with DVDs correctly and EVR works like a charm (its faster than VMR9 too).

Maybe in the future when the mod is more stable. It currently still has some OSD bugs (workaround is to disable OSD) and some other things that need some improving.

i was just looking into it's HD hardware accelerated playback ...
quite nice now
latest version sems to be quite matured (no use breaking bugs)
http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/History.html
would be possible to add this to pack (either as optionable or as addition to default MPC (e.g. named mplayer-hd.exe) ?
or are there still some major bugs ?

I follow its development very closely and it is not stable enough yet. There are still many bugs that need to be solved.
If you want to use it, then it is just a matter of overwriting mplayerc.exe. More recent versions can be found at forum.doom9.org.

I would also like to see MPC_HC built in KLite. Few days ago they have released new stable version.
I have been using it almost non-stop, and it's very stable. It's capable of playing every video I have tried, and for 99% of all x264 encoded files it uses only DXVA GPU decoding (for GPU-s that support this), and uses just 2-3% of CPU for 1080p HD mvoies.
You could make this a choice for a user during install, to select regular MPC or HC version.

It's DXVA functionality is working pretty well now. But there are few other bugs that still need fixing. Having the internal filters enabled may in freeze of crash the player with some files.
You can use MPC-HC by simply replacing the mplayerc.exe that was installed by the pack.

The FFmpeg based decoders can cause a crash with the Overlay renderer. Happens only with some files though, not always. The developers are aware of this bug. The code for the new internal filters is still a work in progress.
DXVA is also partly broken in current SVN.
