KLM 5.4.0 unattended error

Postby mooms on Fri Nov 06, 2009 2:24 pm

I have the abit of using the mega codec pack unattended (installed @T-13 in XP pro)
I have just updated my installer but in the windows gui setup i had an error message sayin that ac3filter.ax could not be registered, it's the first time it occurs (i'm a regular user of your codecs packs since many years)

I use a runtimes addon that include all MS runtimes....integrated before klmcp of course!
Maybe not all runtimes are activated @T-13 because if i execute the klmcp at runonce the problem is gone.
but it's weird because .net with vc 2005 and 2008 removed installs fine @T-13 so i'm enclined to think the runtimes are already active @ T-13.

In next version AC3Filter will no longer depend on the runtimes.

The stupid Visual Studio 2008 likes to embed manifests by default causing Windows to think that a file depends on a runtime, while it actually doesn't.

Windows 7 might already have it by default. If not, the runtime I linked to should also work on 7.
