Can't Play *.ram files in WMP.

Postby justjoinme on Mon Jul 21, 2008 5:44 pm

I have a vostro 1400 notebook and I have the K-lite Codec pack 4 installed and the realplayer alternative is checked and activated. The problem is that whenever I try to play any ram files in WMP, an error message is displayed stating that the player does not support such an extension. However, *.rm files plays normally in WMP. Could anyone tell me what the problem is.
Thanx

Hi there, this is a sequel to what I have posted. This is the exact text of what I get every time I try to play a ram file in WMP "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file".
Thanx

WMP is not able to play streaming RealMedia content. You must use Media Player Classic for that.
